MusselFest!

Live Music by the Lake (Friday)
Musselman '10 kicks off Friday evening with the super-sprint microMussel triathlon in Lakefront Park. During and after the high-stakes race, enjoy live music at the gazebo and cool, creamy ice cream for all. Come to participate or just to watch - a few steps from downtown!

Frazz Musselman Mural (Friday and Saturday)
Jef Mallett, creator of the syndicated comic strip Frazz, returns to Geneva for his second time at Musselman. In 2006, Jef competed in the half-iron and designed the race t-shirt. This year, Jef will lend his talents to MusselFest by sketching the world's largest Frazz cartoon on a downtown retaining wall. Athletes can participate by coloring in a section of the artwork according to their bib number: the world's largest paint-by-number!

Next to the mural, past and present Musselman participants can add their name to the "Wall of Mussel." Come back to Geneva in 50 years and show your grandkids.

Musselman Arts Triathlon (Saturday)
On Saturday, we welcome you to explore the second annual "Musselman Arts Triathlon" at the historic Smith Opera House in downtown Geneva. From 10am to 10pm, the stage will feature continuous and spontaneous creations of painting, music, and dance by professional visual and performing arts. Donations to the Smith Center for the Arts are invited in lieu of an admission charge. Co-produced by Donna Davenport (dance), Mark Olivieri (music), and Cherry Rahn (painting).

Kite Flying Festival (Saturday)
Stick around after the mini-Mussel or bring your family down to Seneca Lake State Park for an afternoon (11am-2pm) of kite flying! We'll supply a special edition Musselman kite, or you can bring your own. Thanks to the generous support of Five Star Bank, as well as the fair winds that always blow along the lake, we hope to make this an annual Musselman weekend happening!

Post-Race Celebration (Saturday and Sunday)
The fun has just begun when you cross the finish line of the mini-Mussel. Just a few steps from transition you'll find music, food, and entertainment to accompany the awards ceremony... and beyond.
